He  played a key role in establishment of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in  1935 —based on the guidelines, working style and outlook from his book  “The Problem of the Rupee”. The book has presented in front of the Hilton Young Commission.

2. Almost 45 years back,  Ambedkar had suggested division of Madhya Pradesh and Bihar into  northern and southern states for better governance. Later, the states  were bifurcated in the year 2000.

3. At 7th Session of Indian  Labour conferences, B.R.Ambedkar brought 8 hours duty in India from 14  hours time and became saviour of labours.

5. He is the only Indian, who rated as a world’s 1st talented person according to Cambridge University, England 2011.

6. On 15th August 1947, he  became the First Law Minister of India. But later resigned from the post  when cabinet withdrawal support to “Hindu Code Bill” by the Prime  Minister Pt Jawaharlal Nehru.

7. In 1952, Dr Ambedkar was defeated by congress candidate N. S. Kajrolkar in the First Lok Sabha elections from Bombay North.

8. Ambedkar played a crucial  role in establishment of Damodar valley project, Hirakud Dam, Son river  valley project. He contributed in creating multi purpose river valley  projects technologies in India.

9. He laid the foundation for  water and electricity resources development: Central Technical Power  Board (CTPB), Central Water Irrigation & Navigation Commission  (CWINC), the two sectors which illuminated India.

10. Apart from untouchables  issues, he also fought for the empowerment of women, and argued for the  equal rights of all women in inheritance and marriage.

11. Ambedkar had opposed Article 370 in the constitution —which gives autonomous status to the state of Jammu & Kashmir.

12. The references for all the  13 finance commission reports in India are based on Dr. Ambedkar   Thesis “The evolution of Provincial Finance in British India”.

Update :

He was the first person to suggest connecting all the rivers in India.  And the Hindu code bill that he wanted to implement was a highly  progressive bill which included reforms like.

1.The property of a  dying man has to be shared equally among his widow,daughter and  son,which according to previous laws was entitled only for his son.
2.The  right of any women over her inherited/self obtained property should not  be limited,instead it was made absolute.i.e it can be processed as she  wished.
3.Allowing either partner to file for divorce on certain grounds such as domestic violence,infidelity etc.
4.The granting of maintenance to the the wife if she decides to live separately due to divorce on grounds as mentioned above.
5.Making monogamy mandatory.
6.Allowance of intercaste marriage and adoption of children of any caste.
7.Also decisions regarding the guardianship of the child in case of divorce were mentioned under these laws.

But this bill was rejected and hence he resigned from his position as law minister.
